Top 10: Notorious Nude Beaches

To see or not to see. That is the question. With the prevalence of nude beaches today, there is a lot to see. If this is offensive, one has the option of looking the other way; covering the eyes (maybe with a blindfold); walking away from the offense; or checking out the location beforehand for such tomfoolery. For you not so flamboyant sunbathers, here is a preview of the top 10 nude beaches to avoid or enjoy.

1. Vera Playa, Spain

Vera Playa, Spain, is known as the world’s best naturist beach resort on the Costa de Almeria in Andalucia, southeast Spain. A beautiful sunrise welcomes you at breakfast on the balcony. The sandy beaches await your arrival. Make sure you bring a towel.

2. Haulover Beach, Florida, USA

Haulover Beach in Florida, USA, in the southern portion of the “Sunshine State,” is popular for its naturists from around the world. This is the only public beach in Florida where nudity is legal. Just at the doorsteps of Miami, it has its own lifeguards and police with peace kept without intrusion.

Haulover Beach has a huge following of naturists.

3. Black’s Beach, California, USA

Sometimes people misunderstand and try to outlaw the naturist. Black’s Beach is probably not a perfect beach, but they do try to make it a better place for all concerned. Supposedly they do neither encourage nor engage in any sexually activities. Still, viewer discretion is advised.

4. Leucate Plage, France

Leucate Plage is a nudie beach located in France. This fine golden beach is on the Mediterranean coast, just north of Perpignan. There are three naturist resorts in the area and the beach is visited by first time as well as lifelong nudists. Here are some basic directions to make sure you know where it is and thus how to avoid it. Going north on N9, make a right on D83, and you’ll see a sign that says Port Bacares. 9 km later and a right turn later, naked women and men as far as the eye can see.

5. Playa Es Pregons Gran, Spain

This beach is known for it’s Caribbean look while still letting you run around in your birthday suit. There are no bars on the beach so be sure to bring your own items. The beach is a 15 minute walk along the shore, north from Colonia Sant Jordi.

6. Banana Beach, Greece

This particular beach is know for having three sandy bays loved by every nude swimmer. This beach got it’s name because of the yellow sand and its curved. Banana beach is near Koukounaries, on the south-west coast.

7. Valalta, Croatia

This beach is made for your every de-stressing need. It was voted the best in Croatia last year. This beach has two miles of sand beaches and secluded coves. Valalta Beach is located 60 miles south of Trieste and five miles from Rovinj.

8. Playa de Maspolamos, Canary Islands

This is a gorgeous beach that is 3 kilometers long and 1 kilometer deep. Playa de Maspolamos is located in the Canary Islands.

9. Euronat, France

This beach has golden sand and dunes and is located in France. They have accommodations for the whole family so don’t be tricked into thinking any dress code applies to this beach and resort.
