While we all enjoy a nice Far Side daily desk calender (talking bears and chickens humiliating oddly drawn humans rarely fail to please), Gary Larson does not come close to holding the patent on the oddest calenders of 2011. Three words: Goats in trees. Sadly, most of the calenders are likely still available for purchase. Somewhere.

My favorite was the one I had on my wall last year, which definitely belongs on this list – it was called “Ferret Frenzy.” It was a bunch of different pictures of ferrets shopped into different fantasy and storybook scenes. My personal favorite was the ferret dressed as Little Red Riding Hood. It was so bizarre it was irresistible.
