Top 10: Cool Chopper Mods

wmmattler April 10, 2010 2

The beauty of a chopper lies in the fact that it is custom built by definition. In the beginning, new bikes were built by “chopping-up” old cast-off bikes and combining them into something new. These days just about any bike that is custom built from the ground up could be called a chopper.

10. The Smoker

The OCC RUB Chopper. This bike should come with a couple of pounds of beef and a few brats for the weekend. How much would one of these choppers cost? Enough.

9. John Deere

Okay, this is very cool. I think even I might be enticed into mowing the lawn if I had one of these choppers!

8. High Heel Chopper

I couldn’t find a whole lot about this chopper, but if anyone wants to chime in with some more information (verifiable of course) please do so. It’s pretty darned cool. But is it street legal?

7. Capt. Kirk’s Chopper

In case you were wondering how Capt. Kirk got all the hot alien babes, this is it. The Enterprise chopper! There were a ton of odd bikes on this page so take a look… AFTER you’re done with this list…

6. Ferrarri Chopper

Once thought to be very “low-brow” choppers have gone beyond mainstream into the “exclusive” club. Yeah, hardly anyone can afford one. To prove this we have the Ferrarrichopper.

5. Electric Chopper

Yeah I have no idea why Big Paul and the boys down at Orange County Choppers built this thing, but they did.

4. Lotus Chopper

Yeah, I am not overly in tune with our European chopper brothers, so I have no idea why this is called the Lotus chopper. All I know for sure is that is freakin made out of wood?

3. Big Wheels

Or in this case; WHEEL. Okay there is NO WAY I am resting my crotch on a motor with all those moving parts and what not….

2. Ghost Spoke

This one makes no sense. Choppers are not known for being practical on any level, but the chain/gliding spoke thing? I predict riding this bike off the trailer and then right back on.

1. Camper Chopper

We found this one on a travel blog and were so impressed with it that we made it number 1. Yeah I have no idea how practical or impractical this is, just that you don’t have to worry about saddlebags.

Of all the OCC custom choppers you choose the electric one, it’s cool, but there was so many better choices in the OCC collection.
